Library and Information Communication Technologies Library The Moranbah State High School Resource Centre caters for all members of the school community. Its role is to support teachers, support staff and students in the provision of quality resources which are linked to the curriculum and of relevance to students. Some available resources and services provided by the Resource Centre include:
The Resource Centre is open for student access from 8.00am – 3.30pm and during the second lunch break daily. Information Communication Technologies Information Communication Technologies (ICT’s) are used throughout Moranbah State High School to enhance the quality of student outcomes. The School currently has 6 operational computer labs (approximately 25 computers each) and an additional superior lab with 12 computers that is used for graphic design subjects. Furthermore, we have access to the two computer labs at CTEC, which also provides teachers and students with the opportunity to enhance their teaching and learning through ICT’s. In 2009, Moranbah Teachers received their Queensland Education laptops which has resulted in an increase in teacher’s confidence and skills in using technology in the classroom. The school has recently purchased a class set of laptops to allow teachers to book for their class and for students to take home overnight to complete assignments.
