Creative design for an original item 8E has been hard at work over the last few weeks creating their drawstring backpacks. Students have to create an embellished front to their bag and then make the bag itself. All bags represent their school sports team and may be painted, beaded, appliquéd or sewn. Students are learning the essentials of measuring, reading instructions carefully and what it means to put a "professional" finish to an item. They are also getting very "creative" and learning that just because something looks great on paper, doesn't necessarily mean it will look so great on fabric. |
