Pre-loved denims get a new purpose in life... This term students are having a great, challenging time creating artefacts out of unusable jeans. The task involves students designing and item they can use in their everyday life and then creating it from scratch. Students are designing a range of useful items including "Ipod" covers, book covers, bags, tops, dresses, tool bags and even a dog coat.It is often very easy to leave items like jeans in a cupboard, never to be worn again or even throw them out. This unit hopes to show students how to creatively reuse the unusable and reduce consumer waste. |
