Dungeons and Dragons Club:

Moranbah State High School's Dungeons and Dragons club meets twice a week after school on Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:20pm-4:30pm to play Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop roleplay games. This club is a great way to encourage critical and creative thinking, team-building, and is a place where students build meaningful relationships with each other across year levels.

Club Facilitator: Miss Tameka Russell truss221@eq.edu.au

LGBTQIA+ Collective:

The LGBTQIA+ Collective is an initiative designed to support diverse students in the community. The Collective meets once a week and is a space for students to meet like-minded people. The main focus of the club is supporting the mental health and wellbeing of students.

Environmental Club:

“We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children."

In 2022, Moranbah SHS launched the Climate Crew. The club's mission is to educate the next generation of young adults into making great sustainable decisions to protect our environment. The club has 17 goals as listed below:

Some examples of our goals is to plant more native Australian plants as well as trees, donating goods to people living below the poverty line (books, clothes) and protecting our environment from pollution and other detrimental impacts to the environment. The club will also contribute to our school's recycling plan. This will involve recycling paper, plastic bottles and aluminium cans as well as starting a garden facility.

If our generation won't support the environment, who will?

Facilitator: Mr Jake Edwards jedwa560@eq.edu.au
