Welcome to Moranbah State High School, a proud and vibrant school community located on Barada Barna Country in the heart of Moranbah.
For 50 years, our school has been an important part of the Moranbah community, growing alongside the town and the families who call it home. We are proud of our strong community connections and our role in preparing young people to contribute, succeed and thrive in a changing world.
With more than 800 students, our school is a place where every young person is encouraged to discover their strengths, pursue their interests and strive for their personal best. We believe that students achieve when they feel known, valued and supported, and we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and positive environment where every student can belong and flourish.
Our motto, ‘Tomorrow’s Future Today’, captures our commitment to preparing students for the opportunities and challenges ahead. We provide a broad and engaging education that develops the knowledge, skills, confidence and character students need to navigate their future with purpose and optimism.
Our students benefit from diverse curriculum offerings, flexible learning pathways, vocational education and training opportunities, and a wide range of extracurricular activities. These opportunities enable students to explore their passions, develop their talents and build pathways that reflect their individual goals and aspirations.
At the heart of our school is a strong partnership between students, families, staff and the wider Moranbah community. Together, we support every student to make the most of their secondary education, develop a strong sense of belonging and build the foundations for a positive and productive future.
At Moranbah State High School, we are proud of our past, focused on the opportunities of today and committed to shaping tomorrow’s future today.
Yours in education
