The school supports our Bring Your Own Device program with a technical service called iDET.  The iDET service allows students to securely access the IT network, school email and mobile learning applications on their own devices. It provides seamless access to digital learning resources between school and home.

The department has selected Microsoft Intune as its mobile device management (MDM) tool. One-to-one devices in schools that use iDET need to enrol into the Microsoft Intune Company Portal (Intune). Intune allows the department to distribute a wireless network profile and curriculum related applications to student's BYO devices.

We ask that parents and carers enrol student devices at home, using the guides on this page.

Further information

School staff can only access school information through Intune and cannot:

  • see personal information
  • monitor what happens on the device
  • track or locate the device
  • see information on installed personal applications (other than school applications)
  • uninstall applications, including personal ones.

Whilst at school, students must only connect to the Wi-Fi network called 'EQNET', or if enrolling their device at school - 'iDET'.

Connecting to mobile broadband, or 'hot spotting' is not permitted at school.
